J. David Nunneley, Figurative Sculptor

"When I get a commission to sculpt an eagle, mule, or historic figure, such as Washington Irving, I am inspired to thoroughly research those subjects."

Tulsa sculptor J. David Nunneley specializes in figurative, wildlife and military sculpture, who's style most closely resembles realistic impressionism. Over the past 10 years, he has completed nearly 20 public and private monument commissions, in addition to more than 35 limited edition small works. His bronze monument sculptures and smaller works can be seen throughout Oklahoma and the Midwest, in addition to the rest of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

While commissioned works keeps Nunneley busy, he still finds time to sculpt bronzes of the wildlife, sports and military figures he admires."Every artist wants the luxury of depicting the things he knows and loves the most and I’m no different."
