The Caring Bridge
Located at Main & Broadway - Owasso, OK
About This Work
This bronze sculpture is located on Main Street in Owasso, Oklahoma. It is the sculpture of a young and courageous girl named Haley Palmer, who suffered from Cystic Fibrosis until she reached the age of 12 years. In spite of her difficulties she was an inspiration to her classmates and family by exhibiting a positive, upbeat attitude towards life.
She was a very active and out spoken advocate for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and raised much awareness and financial support for the cause. She is depicted crossing the “Caring Bridge” with a beaming smile that lit up the world around her. The sculpture was commissioned and funded by an anonymous Patron in Owasso who was inspired by her courage.
